The meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 17, at Soldiers Point Bowling Club at 6pm.
Group president Jean Armstrong said that Port Stephens Council had re-advertised the Development Application after a previous DA was withdrawn from the August 27 council meeting.
"This has come about because the previous applicant had omitted to include property addresses upon which the works were proposed. The properties are outside the slipway area," she said.
Under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act, the applicant is required to provide a description of the land, including the address upon which the development is be carried out.
This applies to land protected under the Aboriginal Heritage and land zoned RE1, public recreation. The new exhibition period is said to conclude on September 20.
