In what looks like yet another night of glamour, glitz and outstanding achievements for businesses across the region, preparations for the prestigious Port Stephens Examiner's Business Awards for 2019 are underway, with yet another star-studded night on the way.
Owning or operating a business isn't without significant challenges and the Port Stephens Examiner's Annual Business Awards night is about recognising the efforts of all those involved - those who contribute not just to the area's economy, but to our community in so many important ways.
It's a night to reflect on the achievements of businesses in the area and to celebrate outstanding service that comes with dedication and commitment.
Once again, this years awards has seen thousands of entries for local business products and services across the bay - all vying for a win at the upcoming celebrations on Wednesday, October 16, at the beautiful Shoal Bay Country Club.
Commencing at 6pm the evening celebrations will reveal winners across all 40 categories, as up to 500 guests in the guise of finalists, sponsors and community members gather to celebrate those businesses that have shown outstanding service and business excellence.
Mike Rabbitt, the former promotions manager and well loved sports commentator for NBN news, is set to emcee the event.
Guests will indulge in drinks and canapes on arrival, followed by a formal dinner, the award winner announcements and an opportunity to bust some moves as the DJ takes the celebrations into the night.
There will also be an opportunity for one lucky ticket holder to win a one night stay at the Metro Aspire Hotel in Sydney, drawn during the evening.
Voters also have a chance to win a $1000 shopping voucher for Market Place Raymond Terrace.
The winner of the 2018 Annual Business Awards voter prize, Mallabula mother-of-three Marinda Lilley, described the windfall as the "best Christmas present ever".
Whether you win or are acknowledged, the Port Stephens Examiner Business Awards provide a fantastic opportunity to come together and have some fun.
The Examiner would also like to thank the night's major sponsors:
- Forever Hair and Beauty Medowie
- Medowie Family and Sports Physio
