In what is anticipated to become an annual event, the Dowling team have established the charity golf day to support the McGrath Foundation.
Warren Fitzgerald, a director of the real estate, said the decision to support the McGrath Foundation stemmed from the team's personal connection to the charity's work.
"These days, cancer touches everyone in some shape or form," he said.
"We've had members close to our office affected by cancer. We thought this golf day was a way for our office to do something, be part of something, to help."
The McGrath Foundation raises money to place breast care nurses in communities across Australia and increase breast awareness in young Australians.
One of the foundation's campaigns is Paint the Town Pink.
Unable to commit to such a large campaign in pinking up the whole of Medowie, instead the Dowling team developed the idea for a golf day.
"As much as it would have been nice to paint the town pink, we decided to do something different," Greg Brown, another director at the real estate, said.
Mr Brown added that the team wanted to hold the event in October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
A portion of the money raised through Dowling's charity golf day, which will be held at Pacific Dunes in Medowie from 9am on October 31, will be donated to the foundation.
From the $95 per person entry fee to play, $20 will be donated. The entry fee also covers lunch.
Further money raised through raffles on the day will also be donated.
There will be prizes up for grabs by golfers who win the longest drive, nearest pin, putting and other competitions on the day.
The charity day's playing field was quickly filled by individuals and teams keen to take part in the ambrose event, with only a handful of spots open a week before tee off.
Any businesses or individuals wishing to sponsor or be part of the day are asked to phone the Medowie Dowling office on (02) 4982 8955.
