Fingal Bay Rugby League Club had a great roll up to their presentation night at Shoal Bay Country Club on Saturday, October 26, with the major award winners for the men's A-grade and ladies league tag teams well received.

In the men's team, Player of the Year went to Adam Hodson. Best forward was Jayden Barnes; best back was won by Blake Fuller; the Coaches' Award went to Cody Fenton; and the prestigious Jake Coles Memorial Player of the Year went to Liam Dooley. Club person of the year was claimed by Leanne Blackwell.
The ladies tag team made the semi-finals after a great year. The team's Player of the Year trophy went to Misty Sayers. Best back and the highest point scorer trophy was won by Bree Tisdell while best middle player went to Grace Parfitt.
The club will hold their AGM on Wednesday, November 6 from 6.30pm at the clubhouse.
NESLON Bay Cricket Club's B2 team went down in a tight game against Redhead last weekend. The Makos posted a solid 9/161 only to see Redhead win late with 9/164.
Simon Lack got the Bay off to a good start with a 37 including seven fours. Dean Fleming went on the attack with 67 runs with 12 fours along the way. The bowlers almost got the result with Isaac Chapman 4-24 and Ed Williams 3-18.
B1 were outgunned by Edgeworth. Best for the Bay was Simon Plummer, 17, and Bryce Causley, 24. A-grade play away to Warners Bay on Saturday.
