The Lions bowlers never allowed the Griffins into the match, breaking partnerships every time they started to gain momentum.
Michael Gavan top scored with 31 for the homeside adding valuable runs batting with the lower-order. Daniel Stoneman made 19 and Jesse Budden 20 at the end. Will Stonemand made 25 and skipper Jack Bennett 26.
Spinners Brayden Brooks and Leigh Osmond controlled the middle section of the Griffins innings bowling in tandem with great effect. The Lions outfielders backed their bowlers up taking their chances.
There was some hope for Easts with the Lions at 2/41 after 10 overs
But skipper Steve Smith with 78 not out, including 11 fours and four sixes, and Osmond with 63 not out finished the job in quick order with 17 overs to spare.
