The Bobs Farm-based brewery will launch its Lamington Beer on Saturday which will be accompanied by barbecue-themed food, thong throwing competitions, hermit crab races and music by Jake Hunter from 12pm. Michael Peter will perform from noon on Sunday.
"We're out to advance Australian fare this Australia Day long weekend and celebrate local flavours and craftsmanship," brewery owner Murray Howe said.
"It's simply un-Australian to drink anything but great Aussie brews on Australia Day - so we are creating something special for the weekend with the release of our Lamington Beer. Think chocolate/coconut delicious-ness in a glass. It's going to be a great weekend here at beautiful Port Stephens."
The party unofficially kicks off on Friday with the Newy Burger Co truck set up at the brewery from 5.30pm.
