To be hosted by the Salamander Bay Community Group, the forum will discuss the question: 'Can we as a community do anything to mitigate the effect of storms in our area?'
Group president Colin Howard said that while the answers may be complex, the process needs to start with community engagement and consensus.
"We are calling on all-comers for their input - whether they be residents, council personnel or third parties - who have an interest in managing the effect of storm events on our beaches. No amount of talking will protect our beaches, only action."
The meeting will be held at the Soldiers Point Bowling Club on Sunday, February 23, at 4pm. Call 0417 206 151.
