Having lost a majority of its Zone Premier League (ZPL) squad in the off-season, the club is now seeking expressions of interest from skilled male players to join the 2020 Rangers, which has experienced coach Nima Nikfarjam at the helm.
"We're after experienced, talented players who want to step up this season," Nikfarjam said. "We're the highest graded club currently in Port Stephens. If there are talented players out there who want to challenge themselves, we want to hear from them."
A highly qualified coach, Nikfarjam holds a Football Federation Australia B licence. In addition to coaching the Terrace's top teams, Nikfarjam is the head coach of the Australian Defence Force's women's team and an assistant coach for the men's team.
Callen Black, who has been playing and coaching with the Terrace club for six years, will assist Nikfarjam with the Rangers squad this season.
The Rangers were promoted to ZPL at the end of the 2018 season after winning five grand finals in a row (2014-2018) and two premierships. In ZPL, each club must field a first, reserve and third grade side.
"We need more guys to fill out those three teams but more importantly, we would love to have more guys challenge to make a first grade spot," Nikfarjam said. "There's a lot of benefit to playing with Raymond Terrace. It's a club with a great winning culture and the coaching staff are of the highest quality."
Anyone interested in playing for the Rangers can contact Nikfarjam on 0449 195 053 or Black on 0421 646 037.
The club will host registration days for all grades at King Park on February 20 and 27 from 4.30pm-6.30pm.
