The highly distinguishable roadside billboards are located on Nelson Bay Road at Anna Bay and on Richardson Road at Salt Ash.
They make up a total of 20 identical billboards spread across northern NSW.
The two-month promotion is the result of a partnership between oOh!media and Westpac and serves as a timely reminder that WRHS remains focussed on providing lifesaving aeromedical support to communities like Port Stephens during the coronavirus pandemic.
Rob Wilbrow, president of the Port Stephens WRHS branch, said that the boards also served as a reminder to locals for the ongoing need for funds.
"Unfortunately, due to the coronavirus pandemic, many of our fundraising activities have been put on hold. Two of our major events - a bowls days at Raymond Terrace Bowling Club proposed for August and the annual Angel Billy Golf Classic planned at Nelson Bay golf course in November - are in limbo," he said.
"Last year our branch alone raised around $80,000 for the helicopter service and people can still donate at any of the 70 donation tins located in a variety of Port Stephens stores."
WRHS CEO Richard Jones said that oOh!media had provided the majority of sites rent free, while Westpac had funded the artwork and installation costs.
"We wanted to reassure communities and create some positive messaging during the crisis," he said.
