If you have ever bitten into one of the Bao Brothers' famous buns and wished you could recreate the magic at home, then this is for you.
The popular contemporary Asian street food dishes created by David Griffin, Nathan Martin and James Mulholland under the banner of the Bao Brothers make a regular appearance at the Port's Sacred Tree Markets and Street Food Socials.
Now the brothers are offering Bao at Home Kits, which they will be delivering to Port Stephens on Saturday.
"We started these kits as a way to adapt to the restrictions from COVID-19, to bring the Bao Brothers experience to you," Mr Martin said.
"We started local and now want to make it accessible to all our BB fans by visiting a new regional area each week."
The home kits have been delivered to Newcastle, Maitland and Singleton and now it is the Port's turn.
Residents have until 9pm on Thursday, June 4 to place their orders for a home kit via the Bao Brothers website.
There will be two flavours to choose from: the Notorious PIG (braised pork bao, pickled cucumber, hoisin, kewpie mayo, peanut praline and coriander) and Mushroom and Truffle Croquette Bao (pickled ginger, soy mayo, green shallots).
There is also two kit sizes to choose from: the base kit for two people ($60) or the party pack that feeds four or more ($110).
Port residents who order a home kit will then be able to pick up their order from One Mile Beach Reserve on Saturday, June 6 between 2pm and 3pm.
Mr Martin said the Bao at Home Kits are very easy to recreate at home.
"They take between 10 to 15 mins. We provide a recipe card and instructions as well as a link to our video demonstration," he said.
