Having a building management team who are across the latest societal trends and changing legislation means that communities can innovate rapidly and evolve in response to major events or environmental changes.
For owners and occupants, this means staying ahead of the curve and knowing that their investment or primary residence is well looked after.
The Covid-19 crisis has impacted everyone and everything. We are in an environment where compliance and innovation are of the highest importance and building services are under strain to work overtime given the number of people isolated and working from home.
"Staying in touch with residents and ensuring hygiene have been pivotal to help ensure that people feel safe, secure and supported," said Andrew Terrell, Branch Manager of Cambridge Building Management Services.
Cambridge Management Services - building and facilities management experts here in Newcastle - have spent the last five months finding unique ways in which to support their communities during Covid-19 and have launched a number of new and game changing solutions that will continue post Covid thanks to the overwhelming support from residents.
An example of this is the introduction of a secure and contactless parcel delivery for residents of WestEnd and Aero Apartments here in Newcastle - a unique initiative that is highly important and valuable to the health and lifestyle of building residents.
They combine passionate people with the latest software and technology to keep their residents informed across all facets of the management of their building and to manage their key contractors. They partner with strata committees and strata managers to make their jobs easier and give them the critical information they need to make the best decisions around the management of what is often their most significant asset.
We're a values led organisation and one of our core commitments is transparency Mr Terrell says.
"When it comes to what makes us different we are consistently seeking out better ways to do things," he said.
"Innovation is actively encouraged amongst our staff and communities as we recognise that building and facility management continues to evolve and we need to stay ahead of the curve."
Recently CMS worked with the Strata Committee at WestEnd apartments in Newcastle West to put on an event to say thank you to occupants for their cooperation and support during the first lockdown period.
"We had local musician Matt McLaren perform on the podium in a residential activation that Newcastle hasn't seen before and invited occupants to join the celebration from their balconies or down on the podium (socially distancing of course).
"The feedback from the occupants was phenomenal and has further improved the feeling of community at the building," Mr Terrell said.
Whilst the threat of Covid-19 is far from over, the event was an amazing showing of solidarity and enabled people to connect and have fun during this difficult time.
"Our team is looking forward to continuing to innovate and serve the wider Hunter region over the coming years. There are lots of exciting new initiatives we're working on with current occupants and there's many more to come," he said.
"So watch this space!"
