Raymond Terrace's newest mobile technology tower, a 35 metre monopole at Lakeside Sporting Complex, has been turned on.

The Optus-owned tower has been operational since March, which an Optus spokesperson said provided "enhanced coverage and capacity to the eastern parts of the area as well as capacity relief for adjacent sites".

The tower supports Optus 4G and Telstra 4GX networks.

"In these times of uncertainty, we are committed to doing our part by continuing to focus efforts on maintaining our strong network and are pleased to have delivered the site at Raymond Terrace," the Optus spokesperson said.
