A man will appear in court next month after he was allegedly discovered by police behind the wheel of a car while more than twice over the legal alcohol driving limit.

The 35-year-old man was charged with mid-range drink driving after he was pulled over for a random breath test in Salamander Bay about 10pm on Wednesday, August 5.
Officers allegedly observed signs of the man being intoxicated. The man allegedly admitted to consuming an amount of whiskey.
He undertook a roadside breath test which returned a positive result.
The man was arrested and taken to Nelson Bay Police Station for further testing, which returned a reading of .104.
His license was immediately suspended.
The man was issued with a court attendance notice for mid-range drink driving and will appear in Raymond Terrace Local Court on September 21.
