Learning assistance dog Bryan, a product of Guide Dogs NSW's therapy dogs program, works with Irrawang High School's learning support and wellbeing teams.
The lovable lab joins teacher Kate Connor, his primary carer, at the school four days a week.
"His role is still evolving but so far... he meets students at the front of the school some mornings, listens to readers, sits with senior students as they study, attends some classes (although he often just falls asleep)," she said.
"He puts a smile on so many faces on a daily basis and already is having a positive impact on staff and students wellbeing. His silky ears and the wag of his tail are already becoming a real highlight for many students and staff alike.
"We are so grateful to Guide Dogs NSW for appointing him to our school and also owe a lot to the Guide Dogs NSW puppy raising volunteer family who helped to love and train him before he joined our school."
