The proposed skate park is part of Port Stephens Council's $4.7m project plan for the Tilligerry including new playground, multi-sport court, amenities, shared pathways, beautification and road projects.
There are five skate park sites under consideration: Mallabula Sports Complex; Kooindah Park and McCann Park, Lemon Tree Passage; Gula Park and RAF Park, Tanilba Bay.
Mallabula Sports Complex is currently the preferred site on "technical grounds", the council said in its most recent newsletter on the Tilligerry project list.
In addition to providing feedback on a site, residents can register for a skate park workshop that will be run by the council in October.
The construction of the new skate park is scheduled to begin in April 2021.
