The whale carcass seen floating in the water off the Bay for more than a week was removed from Fingal Beach and buried by NPWS on Saturday, September 19. Pictures supplied.

The carcass of an unidentified species of whale that is believed to have been floating in the waters around Nelson Bay for at least a week has been disposed of.
