The winning artwork, entered by Christine Leaming and titled 'What?.. But We Live Here!', was announced at a small ceremony held last week.
"There were 336 votes and the koala entry was a clear winner," said TMA chairperson Iain Farnsworth.
Mr Farnsworth said there was a tie for runners-up between 'One Moment in Time' an oil on canvas submitted by Kay McFarlane Smith, and 'After Fire Fingal', a paper sculpture/photography artwork by Milja Phillipson.
"Third place was won by Helen Love, with 'Free to Flow, an alcohol ink on yuppo. We are pleased to say that both our museum pop up display and art exhibition were a great success, thanks to many hard working volunteers."
