Melinda Kalac, a creative producer, healer and meditation facilitator from Nelson Bay, was one of 27 women who contributed a chapter in Wild Woman Rising which features inspiring stories of brave women across the globe who are "listening to the whispers of their heart and carving their own path in life".
"There are girls and women rising up everywhere. They are seeking truth, healing, happiness, equality, education, love and health for themselves, and their families," Ms Kalac said.
"These are the women who have alchemised challenging life events and created a life and business from their soul work.
"They are staring tradition in the eye and actively challenging the status quo, whilst birthing a whole new way of living and doing business."
Ms Kalac is the founder of Pranic Healing Hunter and runs meditation groups in Newcastle and Port Stephens.
She was approached by Ashwin Publishing to contribute to Wild Woman Rising.
Her chapter is titled Finding Happiness, and tells of Ms Kalac's personal journey of creative adventure that led to career changes, personal development and spiritual growth.
"I've always loved writing and I was hoping that my story would inspire [other] women to find their happy place and feel confident to work through the challenges of these uncertain, confusing and changing times," she said.
Wild Woman Rising launched digitally on January 29 and became a number one best seller in five categories on Amazon in Australia, USA and the UK.
"We are receiving some very positive feedback on how the stories are inspiring people," Ms Kalac said.
The paperback book will be released a month prior to a global Wild Woman Rising online summit starting March 22.
All proceeds of book sales are being donated to the Girlrising.org charity which uses the power of storytelling to change the way the world values girls and their education.
