The Bay club recorded some nail-biting finishes, including a 4.5-1.5 win over Belmont Golf Club at Hawks Nest last Sunday.
Winners for the Bay were Harry Cleare, Rod Barker, Chris Drake with Will Semmens still undefeated, and James Marshall and Peter Gibson squaring their matches. Muree pennant team are on a roll recording a 5-1 victory over Tanilba Bay.
Muree winners were John Sullivan, Greg Harding, Matt Foley, Matt Dorney and Robin McGregor, while for Tanilba Bay Chris Macguire continued his good form with a solid win.
This Sunday Nelson Bay plays Shortland Waters at Tanilba Bay Golf Club.
THE Nelson Bay Strikers Baseball Club have a busy couple of weeks coming up and are keen to reignite the club after a COVID forced lay off last year.
The Strikers will hold their AGM at Don Waring Oval on Sunday, February 28, at 1pm to elect their committee for season 2021. The club will enter two teams in the Newcastle association competition in both fifth and sixth grades. The Strikersare looking for new players with both women and men welcome to come along.
