Port Stephens Council says it would be replacing the five or six car parking spaces when the Shoal Bay parklets are trialed.

This was confirmed during the February 23 council meeting when a petition with 46 signatures was presented to the council objecting to the installation of the parklets.

The petitioners had objected to the removal of the car parking spaces, predominantly used by locals.
