A Bureau of Meteorology spokesperson said on Tuesday there would be an end to the persistent rain which had covered the region for six days from March 18-24.
"The forecast for Wednesday is a warm, sunny day with a slight breeze, then on Thursday there is a slight chance of a storm. We are not expecting any rain from Friday to Sunday."
The spokesperson said people and motorists should remain vigilant of waterlogged properties and road surfaces over the next few days.
"We are asking that people remain mindful of the environment at the water slowly flows out to sea. Residents and visitors in affected areas are urged to closely monitor warnings and updates over coming days."
