The Probus Club of Nelson Bay recently celebrated its 41st changeover luncheon at Nelson Bay Bowling Club.

Ian Sloggett was sworn in as the new president in front of 54 attendees who enjoyed a lovely lunch. A new committee was also elected.

"It was great to be able to get together after the coronavirus and enjoy each other's company," said Probus club member Ken Shadler.

"The club is looking forward to an interesting year ahead now that restrictions have been eased in NSW," he added.

Probus Club is for active retirees, offering fun, friendship and fellowship. "We are the oldest club on the Tomaree peninsula and wives and partners are most welcome to join in our social activities. We are open to new members and would welcome them."
