The $2.3 million project, being undertaken by Gosford Irrigation and Water Sources, will see a state-of-the-art Rainbird Irrigation System with valve in head sprinklers and IC technology installed to place the current system which is more than 30 years old.
General manager Trevor Harrison said the works is the club's biggest project since the clubhouse rebuild in 2017 and would increase irrigation efficiency and savings in water, power and labor costs.
The system will see more than 40km of irrigation pipes laid and 1400 sprinkler heads installed.
The club said there are no course closures planned and there would be minimal disruption to golfing activities while work is being carried out.
