Nabbing victory for the local surfing contingent, Goyne put on a stylish display of traditional manoeuvres in her two finals at Birubi Beach on Sunday to win the over-40 and over-50 women's divisions of the NSW Longboard Titles.
Eighteen longboard divisions were contested at Birubi Beach between Thursday, April 29 and Sunday, May 2.
The NSW SUP Titles also kicked off at the beach on Sunday and wrapped up on Tuesday, May 4.
The two events make up the Port Stephens Surf Festival which this year saw 170 surfers flock to Birubi in a bid to secure state titles and a place in the NSW teams that will contest Australian titles.
Three longboard titles were decided on Saturday and the rest on Sunday.
Tully White from Allambie Heights demonstrated why she is an Australian title holder with consistent and showy performances throughout the heats and finals of the open women's division, which she won.
Jason Livingston (Curl Curl) proceeded to add two titles to his overflowing portfolio of results as he claimed top honours in the over-45 and over-50 men's divisions. Perennial Australian title standout Mike Pimm (Cabarita) dominated the field across his over-55 men's dual finals.
On Sunday, Grant Ferguson (Long Jetty) shone in the open men's final, taking out the coveted division. Blaze Roberts ensured another title would head south to the Northern Beaches by taking out the open women's logger division. Tom Payne (St. Huberts Island) made light work of the open men's logger final.
For the second time, Surfing NSW added a fun-filled tag team event to the state title event. In a close contest, the Manly team beat out Curl Curl A by .04 of a point.
Among the local contingent in the NSW SUP Titles was Anna Bay father and daughter paddlers David and Jessica Stretton.
In the junior section, Jessica came runner-up to Indy Rose from Avalon.
David bowed out in the heats of the open men's section, which was eventually won on Monday by Kai Bates from Mollymook.
Terrene Black from North Entrance took out the open women's SUP division on Monday.
