Nelson Bay Bowling and Recreation Club secretary-manager Richard Girvan said the awards are important as the event creates a great opportunity for businesses to showcase themselves to their peers.
"It also provides us the opportunity to recognise the hard work, dedication and friendliness of our staff," he said.
The club has a long history as a leisure, sporting and entertainment for the region.
Situated along the pristine waters of Port Stephens, Nelson Bay Bowling and Recreation Club has been a favourite venue among locals and visitors for more than 60 years.
It maintains a strong community focus by supporting many of the area's sporting, community and charity groups.
