Raymond Terrace Fire and Rescue were called to the shopping village in Benjamin Lee Drive shortly after 10am on reports that a "car ran into a building".
The car, a sedan, reportedly driven by a woman, accelerated through the front window and door of the Time To Set Lakeside Unisex Hair salon.
"Please avoid the area and follow the directions of emergency services if you do have to come to the shops," Raymond Terrace Fire and Rescue stated.
"Fire and Rescue NSW Station 357 Lambton is assisting us to assess the structural integrity of the building."
More to come.
