The Port Stephens councillor, Raymond Terrace businessman and Butterwick resident's nomination for deputy mayor was uncontested at the meeting of council on Tuesday night.
"I'm very happy to continue serving the community in this role to the end of term," Cr Le Mottee said.
Cr Le Mottee was elected deputy mayor for the first time in September 2020, taking over from central ward councillor Chris Doohan.
He will hold the role through to the end of the current term of the council, which is until the local government election on Saturday, December 4.
Cr Le Mottee was first elected to Port Stephens Council in 2012.
