The Organisation for the Rescue and Research of Cetaceans in Australia will host a full day workshop in Port Stephens on Saturday, November 20 to show prospective volunteers on what becoming a licensed rescue member entails. Those wishing to attend are required to become an ORRCA member first. No prior experience is required. The location of the workshop will be issued to those who sign up and register.
Nelson Bay Legacy Markets
November 21: Neil Carroll Park, Nelson Bay. Time: 9am-2pm.
Began as an art and craft market 35 years ago and now also includes a wide range of products from second-hand tools and clothes to arthritis cream, candle oils, handicrafts, local produce, art, pottery, plants and cakes. Held the first, third and fifth Sunday of the month.
Live music Sundays
November 21: d'Albora Marinas, Nelson Bay. Time: 12pm-3pm. Cost: Free.
Live music on the marina's main stage every Sunday afternoon from 12pm to 3pm. Luke Ligtenberg will perform on November 21 and Daniel Arvidson on November 28.
Zumba in the Park
November 24: Apex Park, Nelson Bay. Time: 10am-11am. Cost: Free but bookings required.
A free Zumba session held as part of Port Stephens Council's It's on! series to liven up the Nelson Bay CBD. Zumba is a Latin inspired dance workout. Zumba Fitness with Lorna Davies is free but bookings are required. Register your attendance via text 0418 821 164 or email lornbrigole@yahoo.com.au.

November 27: Nelson Bay Golf Club. Time: 6.30pm. Cost: Free.
Saturday night live and free will return to Nelson Bay Golf Club next week. Jessica Cain will be the club's feature entertainer on Saturday, November 27. With engaging and emotive songs covering artists from Cat Stevens to Katy Perry and a voice bigger than it looks, Jessica surprises audiences by dominating the stage with her individual style.
