November 28: Neil Carroll Park, Nelson Bay. Time: 8am-2pm.
Held the second and fourth Sunday of the month. An outdoor market with a variety of stalls. The market will be held on December 12 and 26 (Boxing Day). The Australia Day markets will return January 26. Interested sellers can contact Tomaree Markets on Facebook.
Mental health forum
November 30: Shoal Bay Country Club. Time: 6.30pm-9.30pm. Cost: Free but bookings required.
ABC broadcaster Craig Hamilton will guest speak at a free Mental Health Matters forum. In his keynote presentation Craig covers a range of topics including his experience with bipolar disorder, anxiety and depression. NBN Television's Kate Haberfield will host the free community event which is being supported by Port Stephens Council. Christmas craft
December 2 and December 7: Port Stephens Libraries. Cost: Free by bookings required.
Learn how to make your own Christmas paper decorations including pleated stars, rosettes, fans and tulle decorations at Tomaree Library and Community Centre on Thursday, December 2 from 1.30pm to 3pm and Raymond Terrace Library on Tuesday, December 7 from 10.30am to 12pm. Phone the library to book.
