Music, fashion and summer join together in the 12th edition of the Newcastle-based magazine that features Australian singer-songwriter Vera Blue among the sand dunes on the front cover.
The Summer of Music issue, released on December 2, casts the spotlight on international, national and local musicians.
"We're really excited to be showcasing Australian artists on an international stage. I love that fashion and music intertwine and that is what we are featuring in this issue," said Lara Lupish, the magazine's editor-in-chief.
On why Facon selected the sand dunes within the Worimi Conservation Lands for the cover location, Lupish said the magazine aimed to showcase some of the Hunter's stunning locations.
"Facon is national magazine [but] we are proud of our local natural environments and destinations," she said.
"We did shoot our first cover in the Worimi Barray in 2015 and felt it was the right time to revisit.
"I have a great relationship with Andrew Smith, CEO Worimi Local Aboriginal Land Council, who assisted us greatly on our very first cover shoot, which put us on the map. It was a great experience that we wanted to revisit."
The first edition of Facon, a high-end digital fashion magazine, was released in December 2015 and featured jewellery designer Samantha Wills among the Stockton Sand Dunes on the front cover.
For the 12th and music-focused edition, the cover story features singer Vera Blue, who poses among the sand dunes.
The edition also features interviews with Australia's Morgan Evans, Daniel Johns and New Zealander Ladyhawke.
There's also an interview with Matt Goss, of '80s pop band Bros.
"People that love music, love fashion and vice versa and this helped us weave a thread of music into each fashion and beauty shoot we did for this issue," Lupish said.
