Birubi market
January 14: Robinson Reserve, Fitzroy Street, Anna Bay. Time: 4pm-8pm.
Launch of the new Friday's at Birubi twilight market featuring than 80 stalls, live music, nearby playground and skate park for kids, food. This market will be held in the park every Friday in January.
Homegrown Markets
January 15-29: Nelson Bay Foreshore, Victoria Parade. Time: 4pm-8pm.
The Homegrown Markets will be staged along the Nelson Bay foreshore each Wednesday and Saturday in January. This market specialise in handmade, eco and local designs.
Brickfest at the Bay
January 15-16: Anna Bay Public School. Time: 10am-4pm. Cost: $7 per person, $25 per family.
Rainbow Bricks is back at Anna Bay and displaying Lego creations as part of the 12th annual Brickfest at the Bay. Local creators will be showcasing their unique creations, collections of Lego, and other fantastic items you can't find anywhere else. Legacy Markets
January 16: Neil Carroll Park, Nelson Bay. Time: 9am-2pm.
Second-hand tools and clothes to arthritis cream, candle oils, handicrafts, local produce, art, pottery, plants and cakes. The Nelson Bay Legacy Markets are held the first, third and fifth Sunday of the month.

Tanilba walk
January 19: Peace Parade boat ramp (Tanilba Avenue end), Tanilba Bay. Time: 10am-12pm. Cost: Free but bookings essential.
