Christine Walton, from the Port Stephens charity, said that the group unfortunately had to cancel its raffle ticket sales in January at the Salamander Bay Shopping Centre and Woolworths at Nelson Bay due to the sudden spread of the new Omicron variant.

"There has been a reschedule of the table sales at Woolworths at Nelson Bay for Saturday, February 19, from 9am to 4pm," Ms Walton said.

"This means we have had to delay drawing the winning tickets, which was originally scheduled for February 7, and will now be drawn on Monday, March 7, at out monthly meeting."

Ms Walton said that the deferment had been unavoidable and hoped that people who had purchased tickets would understand.

The group is always looking for new members.
