They stated that the facilities and infrastructure on the foreshore negatively overshadowed the natural, breathtaking scenery of Shoal Bay.
Ugly tables with seats missing or broken, narrow footpaths covered with sand, unattractive and non-functioning toilets, dangerous beach access, and only two barbecues next to the toilet block.
Shoal Bay is one of the most popular tourist hot spots in Port Stephens and NSW, raking in the council thousands of dollars a year.
The council has got to get its act together and upgrade the foreshore immediately.
