The online marketing campaign for backpacking company YHA Australia is posted to YouTube.
The video features stand-up paddleboarding, sandboarding and YHA's Samurai Beach Bungalows throughout the six-minute clip.
All editing and production were completed by the four backpackers, who work in television back home and are documenting their journey around Australia.
YHA Australia marketing co-ordinator Ted Rose said Port Stephens was chosen because of its unique appeal to backpackers looking to escape the metropolitan lifestyle.
"It is for French people working or holidaying in Sydney looking for day trips or weekend trips to Port Stephens," Mr Rose said.
The idea came about due to a combination of the tourists' videoing skills and the YHA's pitch to promote places outside of metropolitan regions.
"Back home these guys work in television . . . they are a talented young group."
The group plan to work with the YHA on other projects in the Blue Mountains, South Australia and the Northern Territory.
