When Indy's owner moved away the puppy was regrettably surrendered to the Port Stephens Animal Refuge. The shelter's Mary Hickie said she had adjusted to her new environment in just a few days.
She said it should not take long for Indy to settle into a new home so long as her new owner is loving.
"She is really shy but craves affection," Ms Hickie said.
A short, red coat and dark facial markings make it clear Indy is a little girl.
"She just wants to be with you," Ms Hickie said.
Indy can be bought from the refuge for $235, which includes microchip, de-sex, vaccination and lifetime registration.
