The Great Lakes Council's annual Community Grants Program saw 56 groups in the area seek more than $90,000 in funding.
The council's manager of community services Andrew Braybrook said the grants recommended by the council would benefit children, youth, older people, people with disabilities and the general community.
On the Myall Coast the Tea Gardens Hawks Nest and Karuah Medical Transport Service will receive $2000 towards a new clinic bus.
The bus plays an important role, with volunteer drivers taking passengers from the area to medical appointments out of town.
"We consider it a very valuable service in town," Geoff Fowler of the the service said.
Bulahdelah Scout Group will receive $2000 to buy a trailer to transport camping gear and Bulahdelah Pre School will also receive $2000 to rebuild an unsafe gazebo and replace damaged paving.
North Arm Cove Rural Fire Service will receive $2000 for more water storage.
The grants committee has recommended further refinements to the grant application system, including the possibility of funding being increased.
