Started in 2004, the association now boasts more than 100 members who collectively own 70 classic cars, many of which will be on show at d'Albora Marinas on August 17.
"We have every type of car you could imagine," the association's quarter master, Dominic Davidson, said.
A "classic" automobile is one manufactured 15 years prior to the current date, like Corlette car enthusiast Gerry Alesich's iconic red E-Type Jaguar.
The British sports car was manufactured by Jaguar Cars between 1961 and 1975.
The Nelson Bay-based automobile club runs a variety of events throughout the year including breakfasts, lunches, picnic days, workshops and an annual formal ball, as well as attending events run by other clubs.
The show and shine will be held in the Nelson Bay foreshore park, along Victoria Parade, between 10am and 2pm.
Live entertainment is also scheduled for the day.
There is no cost to look at the cars on display.
