All free-to-air television channels will change frequencies in Stroud on September 10 as part of the Australian Government’s national retune program.
After 3.30pm on that day, residents who receive their television signal from the King Street tower will need to retune their digital television, set-top box or digital recorder to find the channels that have moved.
It is not expected the retune will change or affect reception or coverage as it only moves channels to a new location on the broadcast spectrum.
The Australian Government’s department of communications advised there may be temporary disruptions to television services before and on September 10 due to work being conducted at the transmission site.
Retuning is done using the remote by pressing the menu button. Look for settings such as ‘‘channels’’ or ‘‘auto-tuning’’ and follow the prompts to retune.
For more information about the retune go to myswitch.digitalready.gov.au or phone 1800201013 between 8am and 10pm.
