According to local legend anyone who speeds down Lemon Tree Passage Road wakes the ghost of a dead motorbike rider.
When they hit a certain speed they see the headlights of the bike in their rear vision mirror as a warning to slow down.
The film Lemon Tree Passage takes the tale one step further with the trailer showing a series of murderous scenes and the disgruntled ghost going after a group of unsuspecting backpackers.
The tale gained national media coverage back in 2010 when YouTube videos of the apparent ghost went viral.
Many drivers were tempting fate to get a glimpse of the ghost and police ended up posting a patrol on the stretch of road to catch out speeding drivers.
Seven people were caught speeding in the one night in August 2010 with one red p-plate driver clocked at 135 kilometres in a 90 zone.
The film has no Australian release date yet but reportedly premiered at South Korea’s PiFan Festival. The Universal Studios production stars Jessica Tovey, Nicholas Gunn and Pippa Black.
