The Tomaree Breast Cancer Support Group's In the Pink breakfast, now in its 12th year, will be held from 7am at Nelson Bay Bowling Club on Wednesday, October 15.
All proceeds raised from the breakfast go to supporting the work the not-for-profit group's members undertake for breast cancer patients on the Tomaree Peninsula.
As well as driving patients to appointments, the group provides free house cleaning following a mastectomy, lawn mowing, wigs, surgical sleeves and prostheses, underarm cushions and face-to-face support.
Publicity officer Bev Apps said the cost of running the group in 2013 was "in the vicinity" of $40,000.
"Although the number of patients [we] assisted in the last 12 months has increased, the number of new patients is down by six," Mrs Apps said.
She added that in the past 12 months the group's members that drive patients to medical appointments, usually in Newcastle, made 366 trips.
Tickets to attend the popular breakfast, available from the bowling club, will be on sale from September 15.
There will be raffles and a guest speaker on the day.
