The annual riverfront festival will kick off at 10am on Saturday, October 25, and wind down about 9pm, after the fireworks.
Myall Coast Chamber of Commerce and Tourism vice president Mark McCormack said the family-friendly fun festival benefited Tea Gardens by boosting the business economy.
‘‘It [festival] benefits the businesses around the festival site,’’ he said.
‘‘Businesses in the immediate area get a big boost on the day but there are others that feel the flow-on effect: accommodation services, restaurants, cafes.’’
Organisers reinvented the festival this year, concentrating on Saturday to ensure that a full program of entertainment and activities both on and off the water were lined up.
This year’s program features music, stage and street performances, watercraft demonstrations, duck racing, market and community information stalls, a children’s play zone, water illuminations and a lantern parade.
Residents in the area are reminded to secure their pets, which may be startled by the fireworks which are set to go off about 8.15pm.
The lanterns were designed and assembled by students from Tea Gardens Public School, and will be paraded along Marine Drive at sunset accompanied by fire performers and drummers.
The school will also conduct the Duck Derby at noon.
The traditional sail past is scheduled for 11am.
Boaties wanting to show off their vessel can phone Kerry MacIntosh from Myall River Tourer on 0408561796.
