Bulahdelah Show Society president Gary Gooch said the November 14 to 15 event would be ‘‘our biggest show ever’’.
‘‘Commentators regard the Bulahdelah Show as one of the best country shows on the Mid North Coast,’’ he said.
‘‘The Bulahdelah Show [is] a real family outing with something for everyone.
‘‘There will be entertainment on both the Friday and Saturday evenings with the demolition derby, chariot races, stagecoach hold-ups and finally the fireworks spectacular, which rounds off the biggest event on the district’s calendar.’’
It is hoped with increased numbers in the campdraft, combined with a Remembrance Day service, that this year’s show will blow the usual attendance rate of up to 2000 people out of the water.
Mr Gooch said the extra numbers, with many arriving up to a week before the show, would give Bulahdelah businesses a boost.
A full program of traditional events including a beef cattle show, equestrian, wood chopping, post splitting, champion dog and working dog trials has been lined up.
There will be a side show alley, presentations in the pavilions, a campdraft, horse show and rodeo.
‘‘We have over 600 entries in the campdraft,’’ Mr Gooch said.
‘‘The event will spill over from a full day on Friday until Saturday morning starting again at 6am.’’
A Remembrance Day ceremony will be held from 2pm on Saturday.
A dedication service will be held at the showground’s gates at 2.30pm.
