Kris Abbott, Port Stephens Council's library services manager, said the fun would start with an Easter twilight storytime and egg hunt at both libraries on April 2.
"We are really excited about the activities planned for both libraries these school holidays with a wide program to suit children of all ages," she said.
"The emphasis is on fun, but the programs at both libraries are an opportunity for children to learn more about the world around them whether close to home, with the real-life experiences of our local firefighters, or literally going around the world at Tomaree library where kids can be creative and learn about a different part of the world at the same time."
Tomaree Library and Community Centre at Salamander Bay will have Africa storytime and craft on April 7, Egyptian craft on April 8 and China storytime on April 14. In addition to regular storytime and craft activities at Raymond Terrace Library, children can get up close and personal with a real-life fire engine when Raymond Terrace Fire Brigade call in for a visit on April 13.
Children aged from seven will be able to delve into the realms of their imagination and enjoy a gaming night with online games, pizza and drinks available from 6pm on April 16.
JD's World of Magic show will be held at both libraries on April 17. Bookings are essential. Phone Raymond Terrace Library on 4980 0111 or Tomaree Library on 4982 0670.
