Hundreds of artworks in a wide variety of media will be on display as part of the school’s annual art show, hosted by the P&C.
‘‘We have a number of well-known Australian artists showing their works privately as well as local artists and artists from Sydney and the Central Coast,’’ co-ordinator Christina Wisemantel said.
The art show, now in its 38th year, doubles as the P&C’s major fundraiser.
Last year the P&C raised $12,000 which it hopes to at least match this year to buy the children play equipment.
Each of the school’s classes would create a painting for the art show, which would be auctioned off.
A Peter Fennell painting, donated to the art show by the artist last year, would be raffled.
Opening night for the art show would be from 6.30pm tonight, Thursday, April 2.
The exhibition would be open between 9am and 5pm Friday to Sunday and between 9am and 3pm on Easter Monday.
The cost for entry is $2.
Ms Wisemantel said the art show had grown in popularity in the past decade, especially among visitors to the area for the Easter break.
The art show had to be moved to the school from the community hall 10 years ago to cater for the number of entries and people wishing to view the exhibition.
