The Rotary Club of Myall Lakes is inviting people to a special screening of the yet-to-be-released movie starring Kylie Minogue at Scotty's Cinema in Raymond Terrace.
The screening will take place on Sunday, May 31, from 1.30pm with all proceeds going to the Rotary's humanitarian cause, Shelter Box.
Myall Lakes Rotarian and Shelter Box ambassador Judy Richardson said the boxes, which specialise in delivering emergency aid, were on the ground following the recent Nepal earthquake within 24 hours.
"The boxes are filled with disaster relief equipment including tents, blankets, water storage, stove, kitchen set, basic tools and can be tailored to suit all conditions and climates," Ms Richardson said.
"It costs around $1100 to stock and transport each shelter box."
San Andreas, which was partly filmed in Australia, is set in the aftermath of a California earthquake.
Tickets for the screening are $20, which include tea/coffee and cake after the show, and can be pre purchased from Raymond Terrace Dental Care, Myall Pharmacy, Hawks Nest Newsagency, Tea Gardens Ice Cream Shack and Myall Quays Newsagency.
