Cooper Herman, 15, Isaiah Paulo, 14, Fionn Paul, 14, Lewis Day, 15, Jordan Byfield, 14, Jason Allwood, 14, and Chad O'Toole, 14, are members of the Gropers under 15 side, currently sitting in third place on the competition ladder. Team manager Ian Allwood said the selections were a true reflection of the strength in the junior Gropers side.
"Many players in this team have been together for many years now and the coaching staff and parents are extremely proud of they way the boys conduct themselves," Allwood said.
"To have seven players selected for the state championships is a truly remarkable effort and great reward for their efforts."
The boys - all students of Tomaree High School - will travel to Mudgee with the Hunter Wildfires over the Queen's Birthday long weekend for the state titles.
"Last year the Wildfires finished fifth so they are hoping they improve on that position. And, of course, there are NSW Country rep honours on offer."
