Tales from Port Stephens, an exploration of the most popular fishing spots in the area, will air for 10 consecutive weeks starting from 6am on Saturday Breakfast with Craig Hamilton on 1233 ABC Newcastle and 95.9FM Port Stephens.
Producer Sophie Brown, a former Anna Bay resident, said that the series features areas from Stockton Beach to Fingal Bay and take in Boat Harbour, Rocky Point, Soldiers Point, the Nelson Bay breakwall, Little Beach, Shoal Bay jetty, Barry Park and Gan Gan Lookout.
"The locations we visited are part of Stinker's personal whirlwind tour; the must-see places he takes visitors to that best showcase the region," Ms Brown said.
Ms Brown said that while the program was technically a series about where most of the region's anglers flock, it was also brimming full of Stinker's charm.
"The man has an unparalleled knowledge of the history of the area and is such a fierce advocate for preserving the natural beauty of Port Stephens," she said.
"I've never met anyone as passionate about anything as Stinker is about Port Stephens, and he is such a wonderful storyteller.
"Listeners can expect to be very entertained - as well as informed - by tuning in," Ms Brown said of the show.
