Club president Rudy Fuentez described the Medowie photographer as "a kindred spirit" who had a passion for his work.
"Phil's contributions to the club, in the form of his photographs and his editing of the club's newsletter Shutter Noise, will be long remembered and sorely missed," Mr Fuentez said.
"His wit and sense of humour often put a smile on our faces, and his skills with a camera often revealed to us a Phil's eye view of the world."
Hundreds of people are expected to view the annual exhibition to be staged at Soldiers Point Bowling Club on October 17-18, from 10am to 6pm.
Events committee member Elizabeth Smith said everyone was welcome to the free-entry event.
"There will be a range of photographs from the 50-plus club members plus a huge raffle of a Dave Harris piece," she said.
Tickets are $2 or three for $5.
The club is open to photographers of all levels, with meetings held on the fourth Tuesday of each month at Soldiers Point Bowling Club.
