Recent chilly conditions didn't dampened the enthusiasm of Will Duffy and his mate Dave McDonald who ventured up to Broughton Island through the week to target snapper. The boys nestled in out of the wind behind North Island and were immediately surrounded by cracker reddies up to 4 kgs.
Stockton Beach fishing legend Schoie has also braved the winter snap to bounce thumping, snowy white bream up the beach. Inside the Port, Little Beach jetty and Nelson Bay breakwall are red hot with ongoing reports of ravenous luderick and bream. I did hear that a 3-kg snapper was hauled up the rocks. Best bait for the bream is cooked prawns which can be taken home for lunch if you can't catch a fish.
