The unique and charming performance heads to Newcastle Civic Theatre on July 26 and 27.

It will be staged at 1pm and 7.30pm on July 26 and 7.30pm on July 27.

Alvin Sputnik creator Tim Watts employs a blend of puppetry, live and recorded music, and animation to present an exploration of the next and oldest frontier: the deep blue sea.

The result is emotional, uplifting, touching and funny – a heart-warming and beautiful pocket masterpiece of invention and staging.

Watts debuted The Adventures of Alvin Sputnik: Deep Sea Explorer at Perth’s Blue Room Theatre in May 2009.

It has since been performed over 400 times across the world including Korea, China, New Zealand, US, Canada and the UK.
